For skin that reacts

A soother, not a promise to fix you.

Balmory is a lotion line made for eczema-prone and sensitive skin — built to calm, not to cure. Short ingredient lists, patch-tested, no claims we can't back up. And if your skin isn't reactive at all, you're just as welcome here — a gentle, well-made lotion is still a good lotion.

We'll only email you when we launch. No spam, no sharing your address.

Why we started here

I'm Aiden Llerena, and I've dealt with severe eczema and sensitive skin my whole life: the dry patches, the scratching, the flare-ups that wouldn't let up no matter what I put on them.

Growing up, that came with more than physical discomfort. Visible skin drew questions and comments from people who treated it like something contagious, or something to be embarrassed about. It wasn't either of those things, but it took me a long time, and a lot of searching for products that actually helped, to believe that myself.

I spent years buying different lotion after different lotion, hoping the next one would finally be the one that stopped the itching. None of them ever really were. At some point I realized that if it didn't exist yet, I needed to be the one to build it.

Balmory comes out of that search. I didn't want something promising to erase my skin completely. I wanted something that smelled good, felt good, and took the edge off a flare-up so I could just get on with my day. I think about someone dealing with that constant, nagging itch, especially a kid still figuring out how to sit with feelings like embarrassment or frustration for the first time, and I build for them. If Balmory can give even a few people, kids and adults, a little relief and a little more ease being in their own skin, that's the whole point.

How we think about formulation

Three rules we don't break, even when a "better-performing" ingredient tempts us.

Rule one

Few ingredients

Every formula stays short on purpose. Fewer ingredients means fewer chances to react — and it's easier for you to know exactly what touched your skin.

Rule two

Soothes, doesn't treat

We're not doctors and we don't play them on a label. Balmory is formulated to calm discomfort, not to diagnose, treat, or cure any skin condition.

Rule three

Tested before it's trusted

Every batch is patch-tested before it ships. If it doesn't hold up on reactive skin in testing, it doesn't go out under our name.

Questions people ask first

No. Balmory is a soother, not a treatment or medicine. It's designed to make reactive skin more comfortable day to day — it doesn't diagnose, treat, or cure eczema or any other skin condition. For flare-ups or diagnosis, please see a dermatologist.

It's formulated specifically with reactive skin in mind — short ingredient lists, no artificial dye, no harsh actives. Some formulas are lightly scented and some are fragrance-free; each is labeled clearly so you can choose what suits your skin. Everyone's skin is different, so we always recommend a patch test on a small area first.

No artificial dye, no sulfates, no denatured alcohol, and no ingredients added just to make the formula feel "richer" at the cost of irritation risk. Fragrance appears in some formulas, always clearly labeled, and every scented version is still built around the same short, careful ingredient list.

Our first three formulas, AL01 Everyday Calm, AL02 Evening Balm, and AL03 Bright, are in development now. Join the list above and you'll be the first to hear when they're ready to order.
